Ms. Oelkers has 9 years of experience covering everything from surgical intensive to long term care.  In her spare time, she volunteers with a children’s non-profit assisting with outdoor theater and leading a choir.  If you heard of RiverTown Night Games, that was the brainchild of her daughter, Alice.  She also leads a book club while raising 5 spunky kids ranging from seven to sixteen, three of which attend HCA.  Nurse Oelkers and her husband and are originally from Minnesota but fell in love with the Florida coast   

Mrs. Oelkers is grateful for the opportunity to serve the HCA community.  It is her goal to make sure scholars and staff feel supported and encourages you to reach out if there is anything she can do to improve the way we care for our Hurricanes.
